Default Ostrich races still the main draw at festival

Hoisted on an ostrich, 7-year-old Denton McGuire hunched over the bird in his red silk shirt and matching jockey hat.

His legs were tucked inside the bird's wings, his hand wrapped around the sheep skin flap.

It was his first race.

And his first time riding an ostrich

I went to the Ostrich Festival for my first time yesterday. It was a much larger event than I had imagined. I thought the logo for the event was awesome! I do have to admit though....my son created it.
