I'm in Indiana, 15 minutes to the Ohio border, been buried in snow all winter. I'm anxious to get the hell out of here and throw my heavy winter coat in the garbage. I'm tired of slipping on the ice and shaking off the snow before I enter the house. I know every place is what you make of it and you can either be miserable or happy wherever you are, I'm just tired of cold wet and frozen.

Same here in Detroit. We got nailed twice last week Wed/Sat. 2-3 hour commute to work, 2-3 hours spent shoveling, freezing. Not to mention 6 mos or more kooked-up inside your house! You dont shovel sunshine do ya?

Doctors who take care of skin cancer would tell you otherwise. Only the shoveling involves flesh and blood.

Just moved from Colorado, not nearly as much snow as Ohio, but I remember laughing when I saw my wife loading the snow shovel on the truck. I pulled it off and tossed in on the driveway for the poor sucker who bought our house. Today is my first day of work here in Phoenix. Its going to be 74 degrees. Its miles from here. I think I will walk
I have lived in super heat before. Nothing, and I mean Nothing sucks more than snow for folks like me.
I love you Arizona: Best damn state in the Nation.

I hate snow. Looks good on postcards, but that is about the joy of it.
Last night we sat out on our back patio and had a glass of very good wine. Can't do that in snow country.

Did you mean to say you cant do that in snow country "while wearing shorts" in March? That would make more sense. I have drank outside with friends in winter when we were in Door County, WI, enjoying a glass of wine around the fire with 12" of snow on the ground after a long day of snowmobiling. Now THAT you cant do in the Valley.
But yes, 2.5' of snow at one time is rare in these parts. I couldnt believe how much snow they got. WOWZA!

They might claim Ohio get's 180 days of sun but it's not true. Most of the time the sky is gray or white. We live under a blanket of clouds. Weather sucks, roads suck, housing market sucks, job market sucks, we are #5 in highest taxes of all the states and for what?
When I finally sell my house I will be out of here so fast and I will never look back! My house has dropped in value 100K in the last 6 yrs! I can't wait til I can get to AZ

Try again in discouraging people from leaving the cold country.
I received several severe sunburns in the summer of '4 season' Wash DC growing up as a kid.
And; I left that Godforsaken place 30 years ago this year courtesy of its nasty winters.

Im not trying to discourage them, just trying to open their eyes a bit. You have NO IDEA how many people think AZ has California weather. Im not joking. Alot expect warm summers (not HOT) and swimming weather year round. Im shocked and amazed at some peoples' veiwpoints regarding AZ's weather, I really am. I talked to a co-worker on Friday about AZ and my next trip down, he said he'd like to retire there someday. I nodded in agreement until he said "must be nice to drive with the top down all year round". YIKES!!! Some people have no clue. And besides, I dont think somebody like me posting on the internet is going to sway someone who has their heart set on AZ anyways.
