And FYI, the midwest does not get "extreme snow", that would be the upper east, Alaska, etc. We get moderate snowfall by those measures. This winter has been our worst ever, with 50" of snowfall in the last 3 months. Several places in the country can get that in 2 days. And "terrible" humidity isnt in the upper midwest's repertoire, if you will. Occasional bad humidity would be more like it. But if youre comparing, say, Miami to Minneapolis, you'd be silly to do so. Oh, and your "laid back attitude" comment is ridiculous as well. Most midwesterners and southerners are extremely laid back. All those people out west that you proclaim to be "laid back" are most likely from the midwest. And speaking of negativity towards the west (???), what are you doing right now towards the east, south and midwest?
Yes, I mean East of the Rockies. Well, I give you permission to like the rest of the country. Ill just hang out here while you do. Your "laid back" is different than my laid back. Ill tell you this. While I was visiting, and living in other parts of the US, all I heard was trash talk about the West. Here in the west, we don't give a rip about the rest of you. Thank goodness there are folks like you that love it there. Other wise you guys would all live here, and it would be WAY to crowded.

What the?!?!? Funny, Ive lived here for over 30 years and have NEVER heard anyone rip the west except for L.A. and some of California's people. Most of us vacation out in the west more than anywhere else during the summer months, and Florida for the winter months. I am one of them myself, Im out west whenever I can get a chance. I wont live out west however, your cities are too bloody boring and most of your suburbs lack any character. Your scenery is top notch though, thats why I visit.

jodillynn22748 is on a distinguished road
I'm in Ohio, and while I do LOVE the snow, I have reasons to return to the Mesa area. I'd like to pre-meet some people, so starting over won't be so hard! I'm also looking for help on how to live on a LOW income there, at least at first.
