HI! we're a fairly small young family from OC california looking to relocate to PHX area. my husband works at a private golf club here in OC. we just aren't happy with the demographics, safety, schools, and cost of living out here. we're both born and raised here, but we need a change to better the lives of our children. what areas of PHX suburbs would be best for a new family (5yr old and 1 yr old). looking for communities with newly built homes and parks, and close to shopping centers. ALSO, side note but with how little the kids are what's the real danger and chances of encounters with scorpions?

The big question is : Where will you be working? That will determine what part of the valley you want to live in.

And scorpions CAN be an issue, depending on where you are looking. I don't know who this "Phoenix Homes and Lifestyle" account is but they kind of over generalized the area. If you search on the forum you can easily find information on most of what you are looking for. If you would like updated info on certain areas...like where your husband is going to be working...I am sure there are folks with info. In all there are about 185 golf courses spread out around the valley...it is a big area.

he hasn't gotten a job yet, the search has just begun. but i think our desired neighborhood will determine where he looks for a job, not really the other way around. yeah

Find the best job possible and then work from there. You'll find communities that work all over the metro. No need to limit the job search to an area when it is so much easier to find the area that fits
