There are green grass acre horse properties along Thunderbird in Glendale worth looking into from about 35th Ave to 83rd Ave. Gilbert has some too.

Sunnyslope area feels very small town to me, forget I am in Phoenix
Cave Creek, Rio Verde, N Sdale are rural compared to most places

Laveen used to be as well as Queen Creek and San Tan

Even Maricopa is suburban

I don't know that the OP wants horse property. And those properties are not on Thunderbird, but north of it. There is an area north of T-bird between 75th and 83rd that's got larger lots of varying sizes, it has a really nice feel.

Remember, the OP wants grass and trees. "Rural" is not "desert", even pretty desert. Sunnyslope, OK, but that's still a hit or miss area. And some of it is not green, either. Your next three are out for that reason. Laveen, yes, in the older parts. QC? Some. San Tan? No, don't think so.

Well not quite because some are south of it. I figured I wouldn't confuse him with random side streets no need to get that technical..

Additionally the horses can be removed from the property.
