Hello. I purchased the r/o system last Sunday. I installed it and the resin canister (deionization color changing mixed bed resin), per the website, changes color when needing to be changed. The canister, new, is blue and changes to brown when it needs changing. So far I have ran 80 gallons through it and it has already changed to brown. I get it that we have terrible water here in Phoenix, but I was thinking I would get a heck of a lot more than 80 gallons before needing to buy a replacement resin canister that costs $20+ each. Am I wrong in this assumption?

I change my iSpring R/O filters every six months and could go longer if I wanted. Something is wrong if you can't even go a week.

That's what I'm thinking too. I'm using this r/o system for my salt water aquarium. When I went to turn it on I was surprised to see it needed changing already at only 80 gallons. I would understand if it was 800 gallons, but 80 just seems very off. Also, the resin canister is the last stage.

Call the installer/company and have them check it out and fix it. Something is not right plus you should have a warranty on the system.

I do a lot of business on Amazon and for the majority of purchases, I have zero problems and am usually very satisfied with my items. However when I do need customer service it is very difficult to find a phone number on the website because they prefer you to contact the seller first by email and then Amazon customer service by email if necessary. I like to "speak" to someone so here are a couple of Amazon customer service numbers that I have use when needed: (888)282-3321 and (866)216-1072.

It is super easy to find a phone number for Amazon. Don't know why you find it hard...

help>need more help>contact us> pick the item you need assistance with and hit either email, phone or chat.

I'm assuming the resin is after the RO filter correct? If it isn't the resin will get overwhelmed very fast with the 500-600 TDS we have here. I have a 2500 GPD system for washing cars and I would get about 500 gallons out of it before it turned colors I quit changing the resin maybe do it once a year my TDS isn't zero runs about 50 with the RO and resin for washing cars it's good enough have to wipe it down where with the resin I don't have to dry it.
