That's true, but when an event happens in Chicago, it's generally on the lakefront, the museum campus, or the art museum -all about six blocks from one another. It's rare that a big Chicago event happens in, say, Naperville. Whereas a big Phoenix event could be in Glendale, Fountain Hills, Scottsdale, or Tempe!

that's true but don't forget you're paying $69 for ticket and $20 for parking and $8 for beer,no wonder why cocaine's back...then you have to smell the filthy lake michigan water and wade through at least 5 bums asking for change, or asking you to buy dumb newspaper.

I agree, there is more to do here than alot of places. The weather is fabulous right now. Major dog show this weekend in Scottsdale. Just being able to sit outside and eat in February is enough for me.

Yes, ever since the OP started this thread, Phoenix has grown and along the way, it built a culture of its own so this topic is no longer valid!!

Funny you should mention it. There is a trout show this weekend - International Sportsmans Exposition - at the Cardinals stadium. I'd like to go but I'm broke and can't buy anything, so what's the point?
