A few months ago, I bought some new cellular shades for the windows in my AZ Room. Apparently, the sun is already taking a toll on them as one of them started to split open. I got to thinking that using the film window tint on the glass might help extend the life of these shades and be cheaper than external sun screens.

Has anyone used the film tinting like they sell at Walmart on their house windows? I am especially interested in how it holds up in a non-cooled environment like my AZ Room (it gets well over 130 in there!).

I used the maximum protection film on my west facing patio doors in Yuma....one door at a time...it made a 20 degree difference measured just inside the doors, and blocked the damaging UV rays.

Thanks! Can you give me any data on how long it has (was) on and did it hold up well over that time?
