So we are going to get a new roofto[ AC unit this winter season. When is usually the best time to get a new unit price-wise? -Thanks.

Winter, for sure. Not only is winter the HVAC industry's "slow season" here, but the technicians will be more comfortable working when it's 65 degrees vs. 110 degrees. Double that importance when the techs have to be up in the attic replacing the heat exchanger.

Worst time to replace your system is during the heat of the summer.
