We're in it! This is strictly my opinion, but I find November to be the closest thing to perfect as far as weather conditions here. Here are the reasons:

* Usually not too warm or too cold. High temperatures can sometimes reach the 90s, but it becomes much more uncommon from this point onward. It can also dip to the 40s or even 30s toward the end of the month, but again, this is pretty rare. On average, it's 70s & 80s for highs and 50s for lows. For many of us, that's ideal!

* Along with the nice temperatures comes another positive point: the sun's angle is much lower now than in the late spring & summer. Even the rare warm/hot day this time of year is much more tolerable for this reason.

* No more parking your car a mile & a half away looking for shade from the hot blasting sun.

* No more sweating, or at least very little.

* Your body feels better without feeling drained from the heat, and this means reduced chances for heat stroke.

* Fewer bugs.

* No more of those annoying supermarket blower vents on full blast above the entrance doors (I hate those things).

* A feeling of fall in the air without the chill or having to rake leaves.

* November is also a growing season for beautiful winter rye grass, and you can plant most varieties of flowers without any fear of them wilting from the heat.

* A great American traditional holiday (Thanksgiving) is in November ... something we can all be thankful for!

My favorite month here is April. Normal High's at Sky Harbor range from 81° to 89°, and normal Low's range from 57° to 65°. Generally no lows below 50°, and no highs above 95° or so in an average April, though warm ones will see a couple high 90's to low 100's. The last time to date that we had 100's in April was in 2013, so not that common. And, it's the start of the Spring dry season, going from a normal 1.00" of rain in March down to 0.30" of normal rain for April. One of our sunnier months as well.

March for me. November is a close second, but I chose March because the day light hours are much longer yet the temps are under control. 80s are welcome in March and we wish they would just go away when they come in November. The only downside I can think of in March is it can be windy as storms pass to the north.

I'm less picky: Nov-March are all wonderful.

Same here. Finally turned my A/C off on Halloween day. Most of October was way too warm to do without A/C, although the nights were nice for the most part. Only nice thing about October this year was we didn't reach 100 degrees, but we came close several times. Much of the month felt like a milder extension of summer.

I don't get how anybody could like July or August here, other than a psycho. July & August are really the same to me: hot & miserable with the possibility of monsoon storms. June is hot but very dry, and September is similar to August, only with slightly cooler temps. None of those months work for me.

March, April, and the first half of May are usually nice, but it tends to be windy during that time, and there are more bugs. The sun's angle is higher also, so that first warm or hot day can feel like hell.

Some people like monsoon season, reduced traffic and what’s generally a less hectic time. Does pleasant have to be solely about the temperature?
