On a game day, most garages right by the field will charge between $10 and $15 in my experience. If you are willing to park east of 7th Street and walk a few blocks, parking charges go down a dollar or two for each block further east.
You may be able to find free street parking north of Van Buren. Often when I attend Downtown events, I can find a parallel parking space on streets like Pierce, McKinley, Garfield, etc. without much trouble. You'd then be about a half mile walk from the ballpark. |

do all major league ballparks charge that much for parking? If you add in ticket prices, parking and drinks and food that comes out to one expensive game.

if you get there early enough you can park on street behind the car park just to the south of the ballpark 100yrds away no charge !

Whenever I took my family to watch a baseball game, we always parked for free when I parked near the Wells Fargo building. It's a 5-10 minute walk(depending on the age of your kids) and if it's after 6:00 you can park next to a meter for free. The only time we had a problem was if there was a basketball game going on at the same time.

Most back east charge a lot more. I paid $35 to park at SkyDome in Toronto.

Did you know the ballpark allows you to bring your own food/drink? Heard them talking about it on the radio, it's a great way to see the game and save money.
