May I ask why you didn't also post about this in the Phoenix forum?

The information you provided sounds like it might be useful to people who are contemplating moving TO Phoenix.

People contemplating moving to Phoenix are probably going to look in the Phoenix forum for information about the benefits of living in Phoenix, rather than the LA forum.

So, if your desire is to help people learn from your experiences moving to Phoenix, you should post something in the Phoenix forum as well.

You can ask the moderators to move the thread for you if you'd like.

Not really, people can leave CA, I can certainly understand why. However don't get when they P**s away the money saved on more house than they need. Smart ones live basically the same and take the money earned on selling a house they paid $30,000 for and sold for $800,000 and invest it. Sure you can have some fun as well, but the OP sounds like the type who is most likely in worse financial shape than when the were here in CA.

Uh no, I don't care for the beach, actually only go in the winter.

We don't live like you do in Phoenix, because we're not subjected to 100 degree plus heat for months on end. I wouldn't live in Phoenix anymore than I would in Palm Springs....too hot.

Actually, we don't want to read it either.

The Five Mile Zone is one of the best places in America during the Summer. It can stay a comfortable 69 degrees on mid-day in the middle of the summer. The rest of L.A. does benefit from the cooling temperatures of the California Current eventually filtering the temperatures downward.

There's a reason the recently refreshed Century City is open-air, while Scottsdale Fashion Square is an indoor mega-mall!

A short visit from Arizona during the summer! Thanks for the heads up! And I don't have to live there or pay exorbitant state taxes there. Did that for too many years during my former working life.

Yup, no open air malls in AZ...Tempe Marketplace, San Tan Village, Kierland Commons, Desert Ridge Marketplace...they just don't exist.

Shh...don't encourage people to move to AZ. Let them think CA is Paradise. They'll be moving soon enough with the new tax law...less deductibility, etc..on and on...
