Like other posters said, it will be hard to find something for 600 or less - but if you go in person to the leasing office instead of relying on posted rates you may get a better deal. My first and foremost recommendation is rent in a complex that belongs to "Crime Free" association. They will not rent to felons and do background checks on tenants. You won't regret it. I live in Glendale and many, MANY complexes rent one bedroom units to entire families. It's downright foul.
You've responded to two OLD threads about locations. Check the date on a thread before you post. Most of the time, the original poster is LONG GONE and will never read what you post, either.

Why not live near the 7th St and Bell area in North Phoenix? Only a 10 minute drive down 7th st to get to Sunnyslope. I used to live in Canyon Creek Village, it was $585 for a 1100sq ft 2bd apartment, or $500 for a 1bd, the place is not bad and fine for a single guy. Lots of other places around there too.

The areas you listed are far from sunnyslope, would be a long commute.

Holy cow, thats dirt cheap... I am amazed at apartment prices in Phoenix, A 2 bedroom at my current apartment in Minnesota is $700.00, and I have a 3 bedroom in the same building, and it is only 900 square feet and costs $770.00
