Does anyone know about the area in zip code 85233?
Would you consider it to be in a safe area?

It's part of Gilbert. Recognizing that there is SOME crime everywhere, Gilbert is known for being a pretty safe place overall. There are plenty of sites where you can look up crime statistics by ZIP code, if you want more details.

yeah, I would kind of like to know how people define safe as well...this same question gets asked over and over on CD, and, I never know how to answer..
I mean there is crime EVERYWHERE, so safety is a relative word...

Safe is... like running through rain and not wanting to get wet.
So, the answer is: run between the raindrops.

Same with crime. Being in a city with crime, and not wanting to be affected by crime.
So, the answer must be: place oneself away from (or between) the crimes.

safe definition:
sāf/
adjective

1.protected from or not exposed to danger or risk; not likely to be harmed or lost.
"eggs remain in the damp sand, safe from marine predators"
synonyms: secure, protected, shielded, sheltered, guarded, out of harm's way
"the jewels are safe in the bank"

2.uninjured; with no harm done.
"they had returned safe and sound"
synonyms: unharmed, unhurt, uninjured, unscathed, all right, well, in one piece, out of danger, home free; informal OK
"the lost children are all safe"

There is a lot of great (and safe neighborhoods) in that area. An older part of Gilbert, but nice because it is closer to freeways and downtown Gilbert. Granted there is crime everywhere, but Gilbert is overall pretty safe.
