I have a possible job opportunity there and wanted to get some feedback on the company.

I LOVE AZ and visit every year and we'd be looking to buy in Surprise or Peoria.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated

No, it's at Deer Valley and 19th Ave across from the Deer Valley airport.

I'm not sure. I know it's 10 mins from my sister-in-laws place in Peoria.

Any insight into Honeywell. A lot of info on the web is negative but it's very outdated

Thanks!

I worked at the Aerospace divisoin as an IT contractor in 1992, it's at 59th Ave & Union Hills. The location at 19th Ave & Deer Valley is their Commercial Avionics division, unless of course they changed things since 1992.

Aerospace is one of Honeywell's major business units. Commercial Avionics is a part of its Aerospace business although not named "Commercial Avionics" anymore. Honeywell has gone through MANY, MANY reorganizations and restructures since 1992 (that was 16 years ago!). Since 1992, Honeywell has seen a merger with Allied Signal, an almost merger with GE, and many other smaller acquistions and spin-offs in that time frame. Is this bad? I don't think so. It's all a part of growing the business. Honeywell is like any other large corporation who is always trying to find better ways and more cost efficient ways to do business. This will often involve restructures, mergers, acquistions, layoffs, spin-offs, and consolidations. You don't honestly expect what you saw back in 1992 to be the same in 2008 do you?

Isn't Honeywell Aerospace laying off a lot of people and outsourcing overseas? I thought there was a recent story about that in the AZ Republic awhile back.

That was Honeywell Automation and Controls, a different business unit of Honeywell. The location of the layoffs from that business was mainly at the Union Hills facility on I-17 and Union Hills.
