No question this not the wettest (officially). The question is whether this monsoon has done more damage than most of them and I would say it has. It may not be the absolute worst ever as there are some events like when Luke was flooded that are surely greater losses than this, but it's a "good" one for sure.

Maricopa County has a great rain gauge page that reports six and twenty-four hour totals. Scrolling through that gives one a pretty good picture of where the major rain events hit. To ElleTea’s point, even sites that are a couple miles apart can have significant differences.

Interesting "storm" this afternoon. I was driving into it and thought it was rain...nope, it was dust. With lots of lightning.

2010 hail storm that destroyed bunches of cars,A/C units and roofs and knocked out bunches of power polls?

Anybody know the real story behind the Talking Stick flood/power outage? It is mind boggling that a modern facility like that would have a design flaw so egregious, that it was forced to shut down.
