If it's any consolation this was my fifth summer here and by far the most humid I have seen. Although temperature wise it was mild, dewpoints were around 70 more days than I can ever remember.

Since it was our second wettest monsoon season recorded this level of few points is also above and beyond average of course. The way the climate is changing it’s getting harder to predict what is normal, the northwest has been sweltering and now the northeast is, the desert Southwest has been exceptionally wetter than normal. I think we’re seeing the new norm which is no normal expectations at all.

The big difference of course is that snow has a benefit, which is moisture that eventually provides the water necessary for water tables, and of course rivers and lakes. There aren't too many people who enjoy dealing with snow, especially the hazardous conditions, and many believe our summer heat is much easier to tolerate in comparison ... however, the long term benefits of extensive snowfall outweigh the benefits of extended hot weather. Quite frankly, I can't think of anything useful that heat or drought provide. Can you?

It is a consolation if it doesn’t keep increasing every year! I think humidity in hot weather is what I dislike the most. It is promising if this has been the most humid...

Humidity is actually good for your hair & skin, and I actually prefer it a little on the humid side in cooler weather. Higher humidity always feels worse when it's warm or hot, but it feels more comfortable during the winter months. During the winter when it's unusually dry, your skin becomes flaky & chapped, and that annoying static shock occurs whenever you touch metal objects. Also, the air quality tends to be much worse. Those winter days during or after a good rain are the best when the air is fresh, hair & skin aren't dry & flaky, there's no static shock, and best of all: I save on my water bill!

This is my third summer here and I also love it. I would agree that this year has been more humid than the past couple years.
