actually Frisco Texas is a very nice town; of course, not as nice as Peoria, but, for Texas, its pretty nice!

Funny, how so many on this forum think that if someone likes something they dont, they aren't worthwhile to consider, or, they try to marginalize them...open your eyes people, there are TONS of great places to visit/live all over the USA..

Yup! Not too far from where we were before, but within City of Phoenix city limits (near 67th Ave and Jomax).

are you in Terramar, Gold Mountain Preserve or some where else?

We're in Eagle Highlands North, almost your neighbors!

Maybe I'll consider checking out Peoria for a place to move to once I get tired of PV and look for another job.

At minimum, each and every town on the list is nice. I'm sure Frisco, TX is nice as well. My point is simply that it's NOT worthy of a number one spot on any list. If Time/Money's point was it's a nice place to live for the money. Sure. As an example, if Lakeville, MN which is basically converted flat farmland built up with thousands of tan vinyl houses is a great spot to raise your family, then we agree. But it's absolutely nothing special in comparison to 20 other towns around the metro MN area. The same can be said about Peoria. Gilbert or Goodyear or portions of Chandler or Surprise or ______________ are all great cost effective spots to raise a family and each are s-l-o-w-l-y up and coming. Nothing more, nothing less.

But we all know know some forum members that are so heavily entrenched with their perspective that they seem to look down at others. It's always about the trade-offs. Of course Peoria has several positive attributes. I don't see any of those Debbie-downer comments on this thread... Yet.
