Default Kcmo

I've thought about moving from Phoenix area to KCMO in order to be closer to family there...

How long have you lived in Waddell?

How does it compare to KCMO?

Kc mo doesn't seem to be as big as AZ. Kansas city is a nice green city I lived in Liberty and Gladstone area. They call it North Kansas city. KC MO is cheaper than AZ. I moved out here for the warmer weather. The weather in KC MO is cold cold cold and when it is hot it is hot. Is it true that AZ is so hot you could cook an egg on a rock? It seems that when it is 80 something here you can still feel a cool breeze can you feel that same breeze in the summer?

I do believe you can cook an egg on the sidewalk, I never have done it though. No, there is absolutely NO cool breeze in the summer. Take out your hairdryer and put it on low - that's what you will feel. It is HOT, just wait!

The reason it is hot in Southern AZ...

The Earth's tilt I think. We get the sun's rays (sunbelt state) more as the Spring transition occurs(moving towards longer daylight in Northern Hemisphere, then as the sun starts setting more in the Southern hemisphere.

Unlike the Southeast US, we do not get Gulf moisture and tropical storms/hurricane moisture; so that means dryer air (low humidity).

I may be telling you things you already know....

Anyhow, my wife is from East coast and I cannot convince her about the Kansas City area. She cites: cold, snow, rainy, humid, and tornados as her reasons.

Here, it gets hot in the summer but you can get spoiled - if your the type that can do without worrying about weather conditions.

Oh! The "cool breeze" is the effect of dryer air and the way the sweat evaporates off your skin when you do actually sweat.

Whenever I visit KC in summertime, I notice I sweat more than here. My head was messing with me, I felt as if I needed to take a shower but was afraid I would just be sweaty again.

I don't think Waddell is an actually town...just an area that is mainly part of Surprise.

Most of the development for the area is on Bell Rd, Greenway, Grand, and on Waddell Rd (Near Marley Park).

There is a new Kohls on Reems and Cactus..

Try the Bashas in Marley Park - Waddell & Reems. There will be an AJ Fine Foods built in Surprise soon.

For shopping in general - look up the Prasada developement that is going to be built at the 303 & Cactus. This will be a really big shopping center when completed.

The 303 will eventually become a freeway - we already voted in the funds to build it!
