Default I just moved to gilbert

Hey I just moved to gilbert a few months ago but I was born and raised in az. Ive seen two scorpions since this move and the one that was in the house was already dead. It was a bank owned home so it had been vacant for a while. the other one was on the back patio and it ran lol. Ive lived in scottsdale where I dont remember seeing any for the few years I lived there. tempe our house never had a problem but some houses around the neighborhood did. chandler was pretty bad but that was because the house wasnt treated for them. I think you'd be fine but most likely you will see a few here or there. just make sure you get pest control at least every other month and you should be good... also palm trees are good places for scorpions to hide so if your worried try to get a house that doesnt have one near the house all though I wish you lots of luck with that they are every where here lol. I hope that gave you a little more help than you had have a great day and good luck

We simply can't deal them (I know....I know.... we're from the Midwest.)

Can anyone tell me a specific neighborhood or section of town in either city that you know for sure doesn't have a problem with them? I know this may be tough to answer. We really want new construction, but I've read that new homes/developments have a higher probability of scorpion issues. How about a neighborhood that is maybe 3-5 years old? Still get the "new" home feeling but less chance of scorpions? Any advice is appreciated.

I did not want to believe that scorpions are everywhere but its true!!! I have lived in Litchfield park for 4 yrs now and the firs house I lived in had none but I moved about 4 minutes away from there and the house is infested with them. (still litchfield park) Its horrible, they scare me to death......especially that I have 1 infant and 1 toddler........We are doing everything in our power to get rid of them..............my husband does the hunting with the black light and we have monthly pest control. We have only been in this home for 1 month............I am hopefull that we will control this situation............its not fun living with these ugly creatures..........Lost of people say that its not a big deal and we should just learn to live with them, but to me it is a VERY BIG DEAL and I will not share my home with them especially because of my children...........
