At approx. 9PM this evening, a man driving south on 19th Ave. crossing Deer Valley, encountered a bizarre anomaly. He claims that suddenly, the streetlights and traffic lights went out all around him, his cell phone shut off, and his car died. He said the "blackout" lasted about 5 seconds, after which everything came back on, including his car.

At first blush, of course, it's reminiscent of the scene in "Close Encounters," but he did not report seeing any unidentified aerial phenomena. The second thought that comes to mind is some kind of EMP event.

Just wondered if anyone has experienced anything similar, or if such reports are common in that area.

Naw...that is that super secret temporary EMP by the Deer Valley Airport. They have UFOs stored there that create the "Phoenix Lights"
