I don't know what type of updates you're looking for. There's not much difference IMO between the two areas. In Maricopa the only big name stores are Fry's, Basha's, and the new Walmart. A lot of people will drive to Chandler/Tempe/Awatukee which is about a 20 minute drive. I guess a lot depends on how far you want to commute if you work. Just a word of warning about QC. I've seen on the news where there is a problem with ground fissures.
