Westgate exists because the group that owned the Coyotes back in 2001 wanted to have a dining and entertainment complex at the time that Gila River Arena was being built. If that ownership group had been able to build their arena in Scottsdale, then Westgate today might not even exist.

That would make sense, I'll have to look into that if we decide to go out there again.
