Default Need help...What would my take-home pay be??

I am going to be moving to AZ in July and the taxes are different than WA. Could anyone help me figure out what my take-home pay would approximately be? I will make around $37,000. 9.1% will be taken out automatically for retirement and then I will pay about $100 monthly for medical insurance. I don't know how to figure out the state income tax or federal tax into this. Anyone know what I would bring home?? Thanks for all the great help!

Your take home depends on your filing status, dependents and if you will be itemizing your deductions. Based on your retirement and medical deduction, If you are single and taking a standard deduction you should be around $25,000 for the year. In order to maximize your weekly take home you should go on-line and google W-4 calculator. This will tell you how many dependents to claim to maximize your take home so that your tax liability at the end of the year is minimal or zero. Hope this helps.

No problem. My calculation was based on the assumption that your retirement was a 401K.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's a 401k and I'm filing as single, with no children, and taking a standard deduction.
