I also think I read that they now to open-heart surgeries there if I am remembering correctly.

I've had a couple of friends who had babies at Banner Thunderbird. They both complained about various issues (i.e., assembly-style delivery, whatever that means...).

I've also heard good things about the Scottsdale hospitals but that is a ways for you to go.
I delivered my son just over 3 years ago at Arrowhead. Nurses were nice, but it was WAY too crowded. No private rooms! Also, my son was born with holes in his heart, and they had essentially no facilities for sick babies. There was a small room off the nursery (it looked like a storage area) where they kept the sick ones, but it was not sufficient. I seriously felt like my baby and I were outcasts or something while all the healthy babies were on display. I had my second son at Phoenix Baptist, and had a delightful time, although it was busy. My sister just had hers at John C. Lincoln North Mountain, and it was a great experience, but again they have no facilities for sick babies. My advice? Find a great OB and ask for their opinion.

I saw this hospital being listed as one of the best hospitals for gynecology according to the US News magazine. Could you recommend good docs who deliver at Banner Good Samaritan? Thanks for the info!

I'm sorry but I don't know any doctors that deliver there. But here's their website!
