I wouldn't buy anything from China if I could help it ... even though goods manufactured in China are nearly impossible to avoid. I'm all for free trade, but considering all the problems China has created for the rest of the world through their own negligent actions, it's better to do some research and attempt to purchase items made in the U.S. The cost is usually higher, but I've always lived by the motto that cheaper prices usually translate to cheaper quality.

Good point. I got some KN95s. The description said they were EUA approved by FDA. There was a little certificate in the box. But it's just ink. Even fake N95s are being sold. Millions of them were confiscated by the Feds a couple days ago.

I really can’t honestly, but they gotta at least be better than paper masks or washable cloth masks

The overall fit is paramount. N95's simply fit much better on your face. Even surgical masks pass all kinds of air from the sides. I propose 90% of the people walking the streets have semi-worthless masks or are wearing them improperly. I guess that's better than nothing. Or putting it another way, no more than 10% of the people are wearing N95's.

I bet if everyone was wearing N95's for a month (impossible because there isn't enough supply), the infection rate would plummet. During visits, I spoke with a couple of workers at urgent care facilities. They see hundreds of COVID patients. Many N95 front desk workers who interface with every patient are still COVID-free. Many docs in the ER's and ICU's have dodged COVID. They all wear N95's. Anecdotally speaking, that is why I'm in the N95 camp.

You've probably heard the news: AZ will start vaccinating 55 and older. You can make a reservation starting at noon tomorrow.

I'm just under that age, so it sounds like I will have to wait until they open it to 35 and up.

Gila County (Payson) is open to anyone over 18. No appointment needed. Might have to show residency though.

They're limiting it to Gila County residents, AFAIK.

Gila County even made the New York Times. LOL.
