Hi,
I am currently considering an apartment ("Select Apartments") on 3222 W Indian School Rd (zipcode 85017). I was wondering if anyone knows anything about these apartments (if they are decent, if the complex is quiet or not, what management is like, etc.) or the area that they are located in (if it is a safe area or not). Thanks!

Phoenix is a pretty nice city with few area of less desirable neighborhoods. Unfortunalty that is one of least desireable areas around. It is cheap for a reason.

Pretty much avoid anything that is "apartment in West Phoenix". The combination of the 2 will give you the worst this place has to offer. It's bad news, and not worth the money saved.

Well that is very simplistic and there are some nice places in west phoenix. However, West Phoenix (ie all parts of the metro area west of I-17) is really quite large and has some good areas. It is just that is not one of them.

Avoid those particular apartments. Look for apartments north of there. Maybe Villa Toscana by Metro Center:
