Hi, I'm new here. Will be asking tons of questions, God willing.

I'm a solo female traveler and will be coming to Phoenix within the month. I see 2 Hotels in.

Intown suites WEST at 1530 N 50th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85043

and

Intown suites EAST at 15424 S 50th St, Phoenix, AZ 85044

Which area is safer?

Thanks

Definitely the east location. The address on 50th Street is in Ahwatukee, which is generally a better area than the west location on 50th Avenue. Just remember: crime can happen anywhere, especially in a city this size. So while you're generally safer on the east side, it's always a good idea to keep your doors locked and avoid trouble no matter where you are.

Why limit yourself to those two choices? Tons of other hotels and you may want a more central location.

The East side one is in a nice suburb, Ahwatukee. The other one is in the ghetto. I'd opt east for sure.

I'm not sure why your choice is between only two hotels, but the choice here is definitely the east one. Lots of restaurants and shopping very nearby, too.

phx1205, Thanks, mostly because of the cost since I'll need a whole week.

elcajones, Thanks, I'm glad it's a nicer area. I just need to ground somewhere safe for the week while I figure the city out.

Mostly because I have experience at these hotels and they are a good price. Can't do the $100/night thing.

What is the purpose of your visit? Neither is close to points of interest for the most part and you will want to ensure you have vehicle access.
