Default Reasonable Movers? Also Car Shippers?
Does anyone have a good source for car shippers as well as movers?

We have most of our things packed now and will do all of that ourselves but I are searching for alternatives for shipping our vehicles and household goods.

Any suggestions?

My only POSITIVE Vehicle Shipping experience was with FedEx but I have heard some real HORROR STORIES about other shippers.

Fed Ex ships cars? Are you serious? I don't want to ship it and will not if I can avoid it but this move is so coplicated with cars and dogs, and trying to do it all as cheap as we can...UGH

I'll do lots of research! Thanks for the heads up!

When my son moved to AZ from Illinois his car went on the moving van with everything else. He flew to AZ (with his two prized cats with him on the plane)

We are going to move on 5/19 from IL to Phx. We will drive our 2 cars because we need the trunk space to transport some personal stuff. But to ship one car, it would have cost us $850 and the car will go w/ our household content. I thought it is not too expensive considering the drive is 1700+ miles / 26 hours.

Bummer - what car shippers were they if you can remember - can you send who they were to me? We have to ship a car back to Phoenix from here in Florida and I've been getting quotes from open car trains that do the door to door deliveries. Or if anyone knows a good dependable one - please let me know. Have to ship it back at the end of June, thanks muchly. . .
