Default Any Husker fans?

My fiancee and I are moving to Phoenix next week from Nebraska. We are really going to miss Husker football and the atmosphere surrounding each game! W/ all the phoenix transplants, does anyone know of a 'husker hangout' on gameday?

If not, where are some fun sports bars for 20 something college grads? Oh yeah, were over the whole 'get smashed' college days!!

TIA

I am a Trojan fan myself. But this does beg the question, what are some good places to go to watch college football? I am a fan of McDuffy's Sportsbar, not too far from the 101 and Bell road, but we have only been there on the weekends for the club atmosphere.

As far as Husker watch sites, you can try this link:

Google Maps

I know the Arena Sports Grill is the "official" watch site from the Alumni Association, and its pretty fun there during game days

Ive also personlly been to Boston's Bar and Grill, and there are a TON of Nebraska fans there....you have to get there pretty early to get a seat

Never been to 1st Round Draft, but hear it advertised all the time on the local radio station that plays the Nebraska games...and yes 1060 am radio plays the Nebraska football games, unless the Coyotes play that day, then I think they are on instead

I also cant vouch for any of the other marks listed on that map, I just pulled it off of Huskerpedia.com

Hope that helps!

dbean,

There are a ton of great Husker fans out here. The Huskers probably have one of the two or three biggest fan bases out here of any college program. Best of all, the Husker games are on the radio out here too (am 1060). My best friend is a Husker, and I really appreciate their program too.

Go Bucks!!!

If there's one thing metro PHX has, it's a lot of sports bars. And the second thing it has a lot of would be people from all over. So as mentioned, there are a lot of places catering to every scene. I'm guesing you'll find a Husker hangout pretty near to wherever you move. There's even a Husker store in Old Town Scottsdale on Indian School (around the corner from Frank & Lupes). It looks pretty small and I've never been in, but see it driving by and have often wondered who the heck would launch a retail establishment for Nebreaska fans in AZ? I guess there's a market!

They show a lot of the USC games here in the Phoenix area. Some of that is because the USC games are the national games...

They are in the same conference as the Sun Devils...so some Saturdays you will get Pac 10 games when you really wanted to watch a big match up from the east...

Anyways, in the immediate Surprise area (meaning you don't have to drive to Arrowhead) you have Fuzzy's Sports Bar, Buffalo Wild Wings, Brookside Sports Bar, Native New Yorker (not 100% sure they show all the games), Scoreboards, Winners Sports Bar...

For NFL games I know firsthand that Brookside and Fuzzy's show all the games. Both places are usually full of Dallas, Pittsburgh, and New England fans...
