Default School District

My family and I are moving to Aizona from Plano, Tx next month 1st week of June my husband will start his job in Chandler. We found a house we like in Gilbert. We have a daughter in middle school and learned that she'll go to Higley until high school. Is Higley school district OK? For parents school is priority.

No, it's not great. We moved to Gilbert for the schools and wound up in Higley district. If you google it, you'll find tons of issues with the district and it's schools and leadership. I would stay with Gilbert but make sure you are in GILBERT district and not Higley if I were you. We stayed out our 1 year lease and are moving next month as a result...

Coming from Plano you're going to be disappointed with the schools. You might be better looking at Chandler schools and comparing them to Gilbert. It could be worth the extra money for a house in Chandler since the district is supposed to be really good from what I've heard.

We lived in Frisco, TX for a year and a half and planned on sending our son to public kindergarten there. When we moved back to AZ we went the private school route until I could check out the schools and find one that worked for us.

Hi - We are in the Chandler district now. Try to get them in the traditional schools (4 of them) or try some of the new charter schools. Look at Paragon Science Academy. We chose Chandler over Gilbert for the schools.
