I would guess APS had a similar promotion for shade rebates. You must call them first and they refer an "APS-approved" contractor to you. With SRP, I just did this process for an A/C unit checkup, at 1/2 off- 2 unit checkup for $60.

I am reluctant to install the Collaroo roll-up shades because I imagine the high winds would test even a good installation.

Well we've had Cooleroo shades, 5 of them, for over 2 years now. They have been through several 40-50 mph direct wind storms and have held up perfectly. They also have not faded in color. Last week I ordered 2 more Cooleroo's for some bathroom windows, that's how well I believe in them.
One other nice thing about them, is that you can roll them up into their valance whenever you want to hide them. In the winter we leave them rolled up.

HX-Guy,

I just wanted to post a follow up here to find out if the sun screens made a difference in your summer bills this year.

I read somewhere about the screens that were a newer kind that were light colored. Does anyone have those? Do they work well/just as well? What is the price difference?

I love the landscaping and the view!
