Hello there....Guy here contemplating moving to PHX from Chicago, IL in 2 - 3 years....How is the market for Elementary School Teachers....Salary?....Union?....Please advise....Thanks!!

From what I hear from friends who are teachers, you should expect to find lower teaching salaries here compared to Illinois. As to unions, Arizona is a Right-to-Work state so there is not a strong union environment. It will help if you speak Spanish, as bi-lingual is a big plus for obtaining teaching work here. I assume you have already visited here in July/August.... If not, I recommend you do so before making any plans.
