Default Verrado (Schools, etc)

Okay, I'm still having a hard time figuring out where to live when I get out there. I'm leaning towards Vistancia, however, the commute is bugging me. Many reasons - price of gas, 35 mins. commute, 1st year teacher = exhausted, being a distance from my children IF I need to get to them. Plus side to living here would be a safe neighborhood and better schools.

I'm still not convinced that Verrado schools (Litchfield, I believe) are where I ideally want my High School child and my 6th grader. Verrado, plus would be that it's closer. Maybe not a plus because the I-10 would be awful. I could take Indian School Road all the way into work though. I'm wondering what this area will be like in 5 years though? West side seems to have a bad rep. I hear the more North the better.

Ahhhh, decisions

Great Joy will become famous soon enoughGreat Joy will become famous soon enough
I really like Verrado; I think it's beautiful. Besides the I-10 bad rush hour traffic, I would look closer at what is around that development and what Buckeye will be like in the years to come. It's been about a year since I've been there, so I don't know what it's like currently. I read on here that the future may be bright there, but is there other commercial building going on around Verrado and in Buckeye now? What is Buckeye planning for the future? I've read on here that Verrado is doing well, but other Buckeye areas are not. Hopefully Buckeye residents can provide more info. If Buckeye's city and school plans are good then I think it is a good choice.

Regarding Vistancia and the city of Peoria, I think it is a good choice too because I know Peoria has a great school district and well thought out city plans. Check out Peoria's website to see more details. As I've shared before, there is a lot of growth occurring here also.

Best wishes in your decision!

Thanks for the replies. I really do appreciate them.

I really would like to hear from someone first hand that lives in Verrrado too. Anyone?
