I hear ya on working your way up... but you should be able to line something up quickly that will at least pay weekly rent in a scuzzy party of town in a crappy apartment or motel. That would be better then being homeless. Then you'd have a place to come home to, get a good nights sleep and take a shower to allow you to work on getting a better job. Being homeless seems like a short road to nowhere to me.

Nah, I'm sincere. I've been there.

Poor guy. I really do feel bad for you coming here this time of year.
I would look at the Craigs list for rooms and save your money. I have not seen many apts under $800 that I would want my daughter living in. Rooms go for less and you have a wide variety of roommate choices. You will be fine, don't even consider being on the street, too hot. You sound a little depressed which is probably pulling down your confidence. I hope your luck changes soon.

Definitely look at Craigslist for a room to rent. There are postings for $100+. You can always find something for really cheap, you just have to look. Maybe make a listing (on CL) of your circumstance and see if anyone would help you out for a month or two. It's worth a try.

You're not thinking very clearly. You're letting your emotions think for you instead of your brain.
You should renew your current lease for 6 months and work on fixing your credit during this time.
You can't go to Phoenix and be homeless. When looking for work what are you going to use for an address and phone number. What are you going to tell them when they ask where you live....on the streets? You will probably end up smelling bad and no one will hire you.
You also put yourself at danger of being victimized by the professional homeless and thugs.
You might end up on TV.....The First 48.

Stay in Pittsburgh and save up a few months of living expenses.

I'm guessing you've lived there for quite some time, so you know the "cheap" way to live there. Get yourself a studio apartment on line, wire money for security deposit, first month's rent, etc.

Money talks...don't worry so much about your credit report.

Do your best to set yourself up before coming out here. Being homeless for any amount of time should not be one of your options.

That's your last resort; not a choice.
