best b-day party place in scottsdale?
Hello,
I want to throw a 40th for my brother in S'dale, but I live in San Francisco & don't know a place to party there.
Could anyone recommend a hip/cool/outrageous restaurant/bar/nitespot?
My brother is also a drummer - know of anyplace we could party with a band that'd let him sit in (Jazz/rock)?
Also, I heard there is literally a party train in northern AZ.
Any ideas?
Need to organize ASAP, party is end of month.

Sapporo is great for a restaurant. The teppan tables sit up to 10 people.

Maybe you can find something in the strip mall where Sapporo is located. I think there is a Sears and a Safeway.

party at gameworks, comedy club
Hi all,
I heard gameworks is fun: games (obvious) for all the guests to choose from, food, bar and a semi private space. Should appeal to the 10 year old in the 40 y.o.
But is there any other recommendation out there for "event oriented" party place? Is there a rock n bowl (strobe lights/DJ bowling) or comedy club to visit?
I have looked into Sopporro and Barcelona too - maybe that will be for the family dinner the night before...
Also, has anyone heard of Cowboy Ciao?

Jillian's (which has recently been bought by Dave & Busters) There are a few - one in North Scottsdale (Desert Ridge) and I beleive there is one in Chandler - near I 10. Good Food games entertainment etc. Why not have the party at one of the casinos? The Casino Arizona on McKellips is much better, fantastic buffett, a showroom theatre with shows put on by Showstoppers (one of the best impersonators - you really think it is the real thing) not to mention all of the ususal casino things. Not for a Family Party - no kids. But the adults will have a blast.

I forgot to mention, there are Comedy Clubs, and also a Rock and Roll Bowling near Tempe (near ASU) Also a lot of the resorts have areas for parties. But I don't think that is what you are looking for.
