Does anyone know if Hacienda Builders is still in business anywhere in the Valley? Their web site still looks like they are open and doing business as usual. Since Hacienda Builders is a small, family owned company, the only information I can find was related to an old 6-month article stating they were shopping around for a potential buyer (most likely, Montage homes).
However, I've seen two Hacienda communities that have all but shut down, with signs on the door stating, "Closed until further notice." I don't think they are just taking a break in these (housing related) troubled times. |

Not sure which communities you were looking at, but I noticed same thing a couple months ago when I was shopping in Casa Grande. Their VERY large planned community in CG was all shut down. The Meritage stuff next to it in same subdivision was still going, but they were down to their last few homes....but Hacienda was all closed.....

Don't know about their business, but they do build a very nice home. We very nearly bought in their little in-fill over in Scottsdale off of Frank Lloyd & Thunderbird. Unfortuntely there were no community amenities, and we were looking for more than just a nice house.

They shut down all of their offices except for the Anthem one many months ago. The Saleswoman there told me that they would be starting up again in the summer, but that seems to not be happening now.
There are a few threads on Hacienda in this forum with more people giving info on them. I kinda kept up on them because I thought they built one of the better homes that I had seen. One of my problems with them was that I did not care for the areas in which they were building. The saleswoman has not contacted me in a long time and I assume she is a casualty of downsizing. altus2006 |

Yes, they seemed to be one of the better builders here, and it would be a shame to see them go. They had a few of the best floor plans I have ever seen! Hopefully, they are just holding out for better times in the industry.
