$4.09 for regular gas. what do you think?
What do you all think of the new gas price that was posted today? Im sure most are close, but $4.09 was at a circle k. Indian school and 16th st to be exact.
I'm not freaking out, i drive a motorcycle. My only thought on this, is where is the innovation at? Are we don't inventing great things? Are we stuck driving cars, with combustible motors, for another 100 years?
Another note. Places like Japan pay about $70 for 13 gallons. While we pay about $53.17 for 13 gallons.
It's getting there, but it's not there, yet.

It's crazy, the dramatic increases but not unexpected. I don't think they will be dropping in the future below 4.00 a gallon. At least we aren't in California or New York, 4.19 and up in those states.

It's the best thing that has happened to this country in a long time as far as energy goes, but I'm afraid $4 is still not high enough. We finally ended our affair with SUVs and there are many alternative energy initiatives and ideas going forward. We MUST get away from foreign oil and this price increase, though speculative to the core, has accelerated the inevitable and maybe helped us to avoid a much worse scenario down the road.

Absolutely true! More mass transit is needed to get from the burbs to the cities. Using electric trains could help solve lots of problems!

$4.19, we're up to $4.42 in New York, and I'm sure it is higher in California. Is it really $4.09 in Phoenix, I was there last weekend and got gas for $3.89

It's not hard to find in mid 3.80s (Costco, Sams ARCO). You can pay more if you want to as well.

I'm amazed daily at the lack of use of solar panels for both electric and water heating. HOAs forbid the use of them in many places because of the look. We could use very little gas in this state based on those. Then add in the use of plug in cars. All very doable. We could easily manufacture them here and it would also generate jobs and stimulate the economy.
Out in Vail (SE of Tucson) winds are very high, perfect for a wind farm.

HOAs can not forbid solar panels. They can regulate them but even there their hands are tied by state law. Get one if you want. I think the problem is the high initial cost. Solar water heaters were everywhere back in the '80s when tax credits paid most of the cost.
