Default Owch! Heat makes me wonder about AZ!

Last year I was able to garage my car inside so it stayed nice and cool
in the summer when I got in it.

Now,however, I have to leave it out in direct sunlight, and it is about 90
degrees here today in Cleveland. One of our very first really hot days of the year so far by the way. Anyway, when I got in the car about 130pm
DAMN, but it was HOT! OW! Steering wheel hot to the touch! My sunglasses kept up in a case on the visor burned my ears!

It sure made me think of how it must be like this or worse all the time in
Phoenix! I would guess thought that most people can keep their cars inside or under some shade.

My lip balm that I keep in the door pocket was not melted all the way though!

Yeah, I remember getting in my car last summer after doing some shopping and my sister sat in the passenger seat on her keys which she left in the car and actually burned her leg. I think it was around 110* that day.

If you live out here and do not have a garage or a place to park in the shade, it is pretty damn hot inside your vehicle, even in the spring, since the sun is so intense.

Its much more intense in AZ than in OH, trust me. What you just experienced (as I did too, yesterday) up here is nothing compared to the heat and sun in AZ, it'll blow your mind. Tinted windows, sunshade, remote start with the A/C running and parking in the shade is recommended.

The only issue I have is there are not many trees either. No shaded parking. Most of the time your parking in direct sunlight. It warps your dash board and burns you. Just part of the summer here. Always has been. Just keep your garage cleaned out. lol
We need more trees, but we don't want to water them 3 times a day so we don't have any. It's give and take. No snow, burn your legs and hands off in the summer on a hot seat belt. What can you do. I remember when the kids were small and in car seats turning on the car and waiting 10 min. for the car to cool down so I could buckle them up with out burning them after a trip to the store. The groceries were melting, etc. The only down side to this is that it's a daily experience out here for months. It's our "winter" time. I learned after a few years to start grocery shopping at night. Fixed that problem. It takes me a while. lol

Oh, and I wanted to add, for the ladies or men who do make up. ha ha Forget about your make up staying on in this heat. The natural look is the only look you'll have here all summer in Phoenix whether you want it or not.
Luckily your so tanned by then it's ok but for you who just turn pink, I hope you like that shade. lol

90 in Cleavland. 90 in Phoenix is not hot. When it gets to 110 is when its hot.

So is AZ dry heat... or do you also have a lot of humidity there too?

I would rather deal with 105 in Phoenix than 90 in Cleveland any day. Humidity is far worse. It may feel a blow dryer is pointed at your face in Phoenix but it doesn't feel like a steam sauna.Ever been to Chicago or Cleveland when it's 90 degrees outside, it feels like you have to take a bath as you soon as you step outside not to mention all the bugs that you deal with
