Illegal aliens causing the dollar to crash? Now I have heard it all.
The reason the dollar is in such a sorry state is because of a variety of factor but I can't think one real reason it would be from the number of illegal aliens in the US. Sounds like more Fox News style red meat for the brain dead racists in Phoenix to slop up.
Our dollar sucks because of the huge drop in interest rates required to prevent even further disaster in the housing market. Trust in the US economy and thus demand for the dollar overseas is at historic lows. This is partly because of the strength of Europe and Asia and partly because we have bankrupted ourselves playing empire building in Iraq. Our deficit is the largest ever and this has had a huge effect on the strength of the dollar. If anything, illegal aliens are helping our economy by doing the services that most fat lazy Americans won't do.

Guess what? Maybe some of our 'fat lazy' Americans would step up and work if they were not being undercut in the labor market by illegal immigrants.
So a wanna-be 'Yuppie' has to downsize his/her lifestyle (no BMW, boat, etc. this year) due to their unwillingness to pay proper wages for the gardener, nanny, etc.---------tough!

So I am confused, is this a liberal or conservative stance? Wouldn't liberals want to pay their gardeners and maids more, or not? Maybe thats not a liberal v. conservative or yuppie v. whatever is not a yuppie, but a greedy bastard v. someone who is fair. I think you'll find both in any category.

Redneck Liberal here------> ArizonaBear
All joking aside: much of the Old School Liberal platform of 40-50 years ago has been embraced by the putative 'Conservatives' these days.

Here's a better handle, fcorrales . . .
A law abiding citizen against anyone exploiting, encouraging and enticing illegals in the name of blatant obnoxious greed.
