No, I don't live in Iowa so why would I? I am not obsessed with hating illegals. Furthermore, I live in this state and think I'm in a better position to comment on Sheriff Joe than people who do not even live here. I don't go into other forums and, well, never mind.
Go ahead and google on The End Game PDF and ICE. This should make you happy. On this note I am outta here, at least for the time being. Have at it all.

I for one hope that this sherrif's time in office is soon over. Not because of catching illegals, that doesn't bother me, but because he makes a mockery out of the justice system and law. He flaunts his office as if it gives him the right to waste tax payer money defending his policies that time after time awards money to families of criminals who in other jurisdictions would serve time and not have any legal wrangling with the county.
He needs to go and a fiscally responsible individual needs to take control of the office. Someone who will have the support of ALL the law enforcement agencies within the state and someone who will up hold the law without breaking the bank for unnecessary expenses: Like multi-million dollar private law firms when Maricopa county has its own very expensive legal department. However, Joe finds it necessary to hire such expensive legal teams because he is constantly flirting and often losing with legal boundaries and injustices.

Well, if you would have read the NATIONAL HEADLINES a few weeks back you would have seen the ICE raid on the Iowa meat-packing plant and noticed that several of the illegals were Polish. Racial profiling my arse. ICE and Joe cant help the fact that South Americans make up the vast majority of illegals, can they? ICE and JOe are doing their job, and if the majority of the people are Hispanics, then so be it!!! Correct? Answer that. If the Poles were coming here by the millions, illegally, they too would be targeted. But nope, most do things the RIGHT WAY by going through the legal system to attain citizenship. Moderator cut: rude
And since when does someone have to live in AZ to comment on Sheriff Joe? If you want to use that Moderator cut: rude logic, I therefore banish you from ever talking about Chicago's notorious corruption and/or Mayor Daley.

You are misinformed on MCSO (and other departments which you fail to mention) activities - they do not target - stop people because of the color of their skin -

On April 9, the New York Times, citing Mayor Jimenez's confrontation with Arpaio, demanded a congressional investigation into the sheriff's anti-brown escapades, and suggested Arpaio himself be subpoenaed to testify before Congress. Normally reticent, fence-sitting pols such as Maricopa County Supervisor Mary Rose Wilcox and Governor Janet Napolitano criticized the MCSO's patrols, and the governor stripped the MCSO of $1.6 million in state funds being used for the sweeps. Napolitano maintained the move was merely a budgetary shift, but most have read it as a swipe at the sheriff, including Arpaio himself. (Straight-faced, he denounced Napolitano's move as "dirty politics.")
Sources have informed New Times that the FBI has an agent investigating Arpaio and the MCSO for civil rights violations, though the FBI would neither confirm nor deny such reports. Guadalupe made it clear that Joe Arpaios attacking anyone with brown skin, page 1 - News - Phoenix New Times - Phoenix New Times
Another good one. The Bird wonders why Sheriff Joe Arpaio put a U.S. citizen behind bars for simply appearing Mexican, page 1 - News - Phoenix New Times - Phoenix New Times but a bit lengthy to paraphrase.

Would you be so kind to provide a link to substantiate this? I think roundball's post was not something he pulled out of thin air.

there is no "freedom of speech" on a privately owned message board.............. you may very well have a reason to be upset, but it's a pet peeve when people complain about their rights on the internet.......

You know what, far be it for me. If people want want to stifle free speech, I cannot argue with that. Nonetheless, I did not think City-data was about that.
