Yet another poster that lives two thousand miles away.

Hint: Not everything you see on Faux(fox) News or hear on Limbaugh happens yo be true. You live far away from here, and only hear about publicity stunts.

He has been around for quite awhile and has obviously done some good/great things. The tide is turning against the Sheriff.

The Mayor of Guadalupe is a doltz -
Rebecca Jimenez has even pissed off the Guadalupe Town Council with her antics------she was pulled over and cited for no registration and a burned out taillight by the MCSO and blubbered about it.

Well, I do live here and the work of Sheriff Joe is bearing fruit------far fewer of those illegal immigrant lawbreakers and the ones that are left are petrified they will be snagged/deported next.

Thats true. Unfortunately he doesn't scare away the gang members and the other dangerous illegals. Only the hard working ones.

In my opinion the Sheriffs way just isn't producing meaningful results. The only thing that will work is to put a Soviet style E.Berlin/E.German wall along the border. Thats something that I would be behind. I think its a shame that people with malicious intent can just walk across the border. Thats the war on terror we should be fighting.

I have lived in Texas almost my whole life, except for 2 1/2 years in Illinois, and everyone here in Texas that I've talked to LOVES your sheriff! You guys don't know how good you got it with this guy. He kicks a$$ and takes names later. We dream of having such a ball buster here.

Good for Joe!!!
He is doing exactly what he was elected to do.........Im wondering if all the naysayers who complain about what he is doing took the time to vote and possibly get someone else to do the job?

I will vote for Sheriff Joe each and every time he runs- he is a take no sh** kinda guy. He enforces the laws and does his job, its just too bad that Napolitano is too much of a weak suck to back him up.

Really, and why is that? Because you disagree with me? All I see on this thread are a bunch of opinions not even substantiated by facts. Yes, illegal immigration is against the law, however, how do you explain that the governor and I are in agreement regarding his priorities? She must be not very smart, as well.

Oh, and I thought personal attacks are against forum rules?
Fact: Many of the warrants are over 50 years old. Fact: Many of the felons leave the state.

The Gov should allow law enforcement to do their jobs.
