Default Gilbert Arizona Build Out Date

Does anyone know when Gilbert area will be built out?
This article states that Chandler is nearing build out.

This is a totally worthless reply: The article mentions Amkor. I worked for Amkor right until I moved. Ah, good times. (They laid me off during the tech bubble burst, hence my move)

Gosh, that probably can't even be accurately projected anymore with the housing and construction slow down. There are many parts of South & Southeast Gilbert that are undeveloped farm land slated for development. The roads still have a long way to go and I wouldn't say it's anywhere near build-out- but any major building is likely on hold for the time being. Developers are backing out of sub-divisions and dumping city projects (i.e. roads) around here...that signals to me that build-out isn't nearby.

Default More info

I wrote that article and thought you posed a good question. So I asked a friend of mine that works in City Planning for Gilbert. This was her reply.

"There was something that was done a couple of years ago that said 2030, but now with the slow-down that number will be changed. Some of my collegues in Economic Development is working on it and they were going to get back to me shortly on what that number might be changed to. It would definitely add a few years to that. "

Hope that helps!

There were similar reports a few years back about Chandler being completely built out by now, yet there are still acres and acres of available farm land, etc. in Chandler. Gilbert's got a long way to go.
