I don't really check the forecast because I know 90% of the time it will be,
Mon. sunny and hot
tues. sunny and hot
wed. sunny and hot
thur. sunny and hot
fri. sunny and hot
sat. sunny and hot
sun. sunny and hot
mon. scattered clouds, mostly sunny and hot. lol don't let this last one give you any false hope. This just means there will be one or two white puffy things floating by at some point during the "sunny and hot" day. No cause for alarm. lol Oh, and that silly 10% chance of rain is just our weather man getting bored. Just ignore it, it means nothing.
The funniest part of monsoon is how excited the weather man gets. We have false tornado warnings and alerts for hail that are one cm up from rain. You will have a fun time watching his excitement. Poor thing, you would think a hurricane was approaching. lol Meanwhile, all the kids are out playing in it. "get in the basement", what basement?

Just because ORexpat expressed his/her opinion about how he/she feels, they should move to Seattle?? He is just saying he finds the sun in the summer wearing.

just a suggestion, and I beleive the person is expressing an opinion that they are completely tired of sunshine all the time. Peope from here move to Seattle and love it, where as people from Seattle move here, and in my case as well, absolutely love it. After 40 years of cloud cover for 9 months a year, I welcome the change.

Too much sunshine is like too much sex, neither of which are possible in my world.

That's true, if you want a scenic state, try Delaware. Failing that, the Great Plains states are a great backup plan.

I, a native Arizonan, try to understand why people choose to live in Phoenix, except for maybe they have to work there.
The heat. The traffic. The endless freeways. The asphalt. The concrete. The heat. The Capitolists think that Arizona is all about them. The heat. The endless freeways. The traffic.
Did I mention the heat?

Oh so true to me. This is how I feel all the time. I'm a native and I am just sick of the dirt and heat. Great for people sick of the snow but let me tell ya, a lot of people get just as sick of heat and dirt. Looking for a way out as we speak.

Today's Phoenix Newspaper had an interesting and humorous article on our weather. I'll supply the link here, and for "out of state'ers" that will be the current temperature in the upper right. Enjoy
A national insult? Hey, don't sweat it.
