Exclamation We got blasted again with rain!

It startled me to see the 101/US 60 interchange partially shut down due to our deluge about an hour ago.

Are storms like this normal in July and August? I just moved here, and some people say they are normal, others say they're not. I checked and we already have gotten more rain here in the month of July since 1999, and the month isn't even half way over. I guess I brought the rain from NY with me....

No worries; Captain, I was sitting here at home (85257) watching the whole thing on TV.

'Something' told me to stick close to home earlier today.

In N phoenix, we barely had any rain today (sunday). I would guess that the amt wasn't even measurable. But, a significant event for a desert climate.

What part of North Phoenix? If you look at this rain map, you can see some parts of NW Phoenix got some rain, about .08 - .20, not very much, but something.

I was in the Arcadia area most of today and they had light light rain all day, nothing heavy at all. Pretty crazy considering that the airport got a ton of rain (0.94"), while Arcadia got (0.04")and its only 7-8 miles away, if that.
