Wow..Surprise..What a storm last night!!!
Did that wake you up!!??
Dumped buckets at about three this morning. It was loud...as loud a storm as I can ever remember.
We had 1.2 inches in a short period of time here in Kingswood Parke (there is a weather station here...

Nice! We had some rain here around 67th Ave and Happy Valley, around 0.35"...not as much as you guys but we'll take it.
I'm hoping for more tonight and in the next week.

Yeah, we got hit big time over here. That was the loudest I've ever heard the thunder! It was the first time I actually was scared of the storm. Something got hit across the street from me. Almost sounded like a nuclear bomb hit. Dang that was bad.

Lot of lightning in Arizona City, a little rain, not much. We have not got any of the big rain dumps this year

Yes, right around 2:30 a.m. I got up and looked outside, said "wow, it's pouring outside", and opened the shutters so we could see it. The lightning and thunder was unbelievable - what a show. We're really enjoying our first monsoon season here.

You guys on the west side must have caught the brunt of the storm; us here just E of Papago Park (S Scottsdale) received some rain and that was all.

Same here in Estrella - just a few hundredths. That's pretty normal for here though. Surprise is better located for monsoon storms.

I was in Old Town Scottsdale at 2 am last night, and it was pouring rain outside as we were leaving the clubs.

Yep, around 2 am last night it started to pour, then around 2:30 the thunder and lightning came and then it all ended about 4:30. Was great, and I like it when mother nature rains at night and let's us have sunny days to go out and do things without dealing with the rain and nutty drivers that don't know how to drive in the rain. Stupid drivers, oh yeah, I just remembered, they have a law named after them.
