Roamed a bit around downtown Phoenix today for a bit of a construction update...


The ever-changing view down Central Ave.



CityScape: The immense hole that will soon become two new towers.



CityScape: Skeletal remains of Patriot's Park, being replaced with downtown first grocery store, retail, restaurants, and new park areas.





1924 Luhr's Building undergoing renovations.



One Central Park East: 26 story / 383 FT. office building.









Phoenix Convention Center: New East and North buildings, bringing it into the top 20 biggest convention centers in the US.



Sheraton Downtown Phoenix Hotel: Opening October 2008.





















The impact of ASU's new Downtown Campus: Four brand new buildings and park...so far.





















Alta Phoenix: 328 apartment lofts.

You really do take great pics I liked the looking up at the sheraton too. FDowntown Phoenix seems to be coming along nicely. Just curious what is that boarded up building in the second picture.

It's the same building in the fifth picture; it's the 1924 Luhr's Central Building that is being renovated. It was purchased recently by a San Diego company and they are bringing the building back to life and upgrading it entirely.

Its the start of a floating sculpture, I forget its name at the moment.

Nice shots once again! I love the color scheme on that ASU building, with its namesake on the side. Neat!
