I've done this dance this them before and luckily walked away. They did raise their price 1,000 in Feb after dropping it 80,000 to 100,000. It says they are giving 30,000 plus 10,000 with preferred lender.
Maybe they can get back to that 80,000 to 100,000 back soon.

I was told in January Pecan Groves was a hot little spot in Gilbert and prices were going to rise.
4/6/07 450,000
4/27/07 464,990
5/5/07 460,990
5/15/07 465,990
6/18/07 475,990
6/29/07 495,990
7/12/07 499,990
11/9/07 495,990
5/3/08 410,990
Hot little spot must have cooled off. I feel bad for whom ever bought from them in November. They were sold the bridge.

I cant speak for the gilbert area i'm not familar with that area, but from my understanding hasent every builder and resale market dropped across the United States? WHy pick on Ashton Woods...... Also the decrease for Vistancia you are talking about happened in 2007 to adjust with what was happening to the houseing industry. They only did what every builder and home owner for that matter had to do.
As for incentives you are wrong again the total incentive is $30,000 which $10,000 of the 30 is with using there lender. Its clear you my not know what you are talking about. I did not see a list of price decreases for Vistancia? Because since the decrease in end 2007 they have Not reduced prices.
I'm very proud to be an Ashton Woods Homes Owner and so are my neighbors!
Im glad you walked away! Thanks and maybe you should go buy from one of the many other builders who are going bankrupt!

You are right pick 2 for a total of 30,000. I'll let you know when the next price drop is though.
Take a chill. Get a drink.

ava9224,
I fully respect your viewpoint, but to be honest, I also found sales from Ashton Woods Homes have attitude issues with potential buyers. I'm sure the sales you had dealt with when you purchased your AW home was professional, friendly, and courteous, but not everyone is as lucky as you when it comes to dealing with new home sales.
My personal experience with them wasn't a pleasant one neither. I was given a dirty look from the sales when I asked for their incentive program & available specs. The sales also had an attitude problem with us, which my wife can't stand & almost got into an verbal argument with sales because of it. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Ashton Woods Homes build some really fabulous homes (as I viewed many of their models) and I understand your uncomfortable feeling when someone's saying bad things your favorite builder. But if the first impression some of these sales gave to potential buyers are negative, it's going to be harder for them to sell their house, especially in today's market.
We're in the process of looking for a second home, and I hope we can meet a sales person from Ashton Woods Homes who's different from what we had experienced so our perception of them can change & be a positive one. Because we really like their houses.
