Sheriff Joe (Phoenix: buses, dating, privacy)

Who can investigates sheriff Joe? It would have to come at the federal level because I'm sure many of that state officials are afraid of him.

And my stance on Joe is not based on the illegals...it is based on his policy of fear. I want want the illegals out as well....but I also want a sheriff who adheres to the laws that he voraciously enforces.

This federal government? Unlikely. They really don't believe in the Constitution either.

This whole thing is going to blow up in Joe's face. I would file a federal civil action against both the County Sheriff's office and the County Attorney's Office.

I mean, going after everyone who has visited the website since 2004?!!?? And getting personal IP addresses of those people, websites those people visited, and other personal information of people who visited a newspaper website???

That is exactly what they do in China and Iran. Sickening.

Again, comparing the actions of Sheriff Joe and the County Attorney to regimes the shoot protesters and execute homosexuals is ignorant, shrill over the top hyperbole.

He is not comparing them in that regard. He is pointing out the fact that either can be publicly criticize by the press without fear of reprisal. The only difference is that Joe uses his jail and the Iranian uses his firing squad. But I'm sure Joe wishes he could have a firing squad to go along with his anti-missile defense..or whatever he claims to have.

Remember, this is a man who let his deputies pretty much have sex during prostitution stings...

It's nice of you to try to clarify his remarks for him, but this is what he said:

The man is no better than the thugs in Iran or some other totalitarian 3rd world hell hole.

I don't particularly like sheriff Joe, but I certainly think he's a lot better that the Mullahs in Iran. Comparing him to the mullahs is an insult to the people of Iran and the hardship they endure.

Obviously, ibarrio, you have it backwards!

You should be "investigating" the other sheriffs in our state as they are NOT adhering to the laws of Arizona! The arrogance of many of our Law Enforcement Agency Leaders feeling they have the right to "pick and choose" which laws they enforce is downright disgusting. The are paid to ENFORCE ALL LAWS, not just the laws which they approve or agree!

This entire state, as well as the entire country, would be a much better place if we had MORE Sheriff Joe's!

Also, his respect and special treatment for the animals (aka: the victims) is commendable!

Scary thought if you really think about it....Do you value your freedoms as an American? Sheriff's Joe American Flag is painted a communist red...He would love nothing more then to make everyone adhere to his justice...
