aj661, I could only pull up one of the sites because my computer blocked the other two. I understand now, thanks.

On another point, I'm surprised that the mods haven't "controlled" this thread more since the rules are no personal attacks, hate speech, insults, etc (i.e. for example, a person calling Joe "an idiot".)
Which Joe? A poster named Joe or Sheriff Joe....

If sheriff Joe then I did not know he was posting on this thread. I think the rules are reserved for us calling each other names...

So I do not think the mods would care if someone called Sheriff Joe an idiot...because that is an opinion. Now if they were more vulgar about their opinion then yes....I can see a mod stepping in.

I could be wrong, but maybe this is a semantics issue and maybe the 2 viewpoints are actually not opposed? Maybe we should define whether we mean guilty/innocent in the eyes of the law, or ethically/the truth. Or, do some people believe that the justice system is 100% infallible?

Wow. I'm actually suprised by that. I still don't think that anyone's address should be publicly displayed, ethically, even if it is available to the public, since I doubt that many people who read the New Times would actually look it up. But, if it's an act of solidarity to protect the freedom of the press, that's great.

I'm sure that is what it is. A little civil disobedience...which our country is founded upon.

So was I when I was reading this part of the argument. Like I said...semantics maybe? Maybe I'm too optimistic, but I think that most people know that the law is fallible.

I don't read the AZ Republic any more than I watch Fox News. But I'm a little proud of them for sticking their necks out a little.
